Education sector debates the impact of AI on learning and human reasoning

The rise of artificial intelligence is prompting a re-evaluation of educational methods and the value of human cognitive skills. In Paris, Montessori educators are focusing on developing uniquely human qualities—such as philosophy, oral expression, and psychology—to prepare students for a future where AI can provide instant information.

Addressing these shifts, the fifth edition of the “Métamorphoses de l’Éducation” event, organized by Onepoint, will take place in Paris on October 13. The conference aims to explore how generative and agentic AI affects the ability to think independently and the roles of schools, universities, and businesses. The event will feature debates among researchers, philosophers, and educators regarding the balance between technological efficiency and human reasoning.
