Educational and cultural initiatives launched in Spain

In Seville, the Center for Research and Resources of the Performing Arts of Andalusia (CIRAE) and the ESAD de Sevilla have launched a dramatic text reading club. The initiative aims to bridge academic training, research, and the dissemination of dramaturgy. Starting October 26, sessions will be held on the last Monday of each month at the ESAD de Sevilla's Aula Calderón. The program is designed for fourth-year students working on final degree projects, third-year students in dramatic writing courses, performing arts professionals, and the general public. The first selected work is ‘Dentro de la tierra’ by Paco Bezerra.

In Elche, students from the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera conducted an oral storytelling experience at the Hospital General Universitario. As part of the ‘Érase una vez… en el aula hospitalaria’ project, students from the Double Degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education used giant puppets to bring children's literature to life for hospitalized minors. The activity focused on using storytelling and imagination to facilitate emotional expression and communication among children during their hospital stays.
