Nova Iguaçu expands teacher training via Casa do Professor

The Casa do Professor, maintained by the Municipal Education Secretariat (SEMED) in Nova Iguaçu, is expanding its professional development programs for municipal network teachers. The initiative provides a dedicated space for learning, experience exchange, and continuous training through a diverse annual schedule.

Program offerings include courses, lectures, workshops, conversation circles, and external cultural visits, such as museum trips. According to Municipal Secretary of Education Virgínia Rocha, these opportunities aim to help educators refine their practices and address classroom challenges by broadening their cultural, social, and contemporary knowledge. This continuous training is intended to ultimately benefit students by introducing new learning possibilities into the classroom.
