Educational and infrastructure developments in Romania

The University of Petroșani has announced the successful completion of a thermal rehabilitation project for its Atelier Școală building. Funded through the West Regional Program with European Union support, the project aimed to increase energy efficiency, reduce consumption, and modernize the infrastructure to improve educational and research conditions for students and staff.

In a separate regional development, the PetroHUB Beceni educational center has opened in the village of Mărgăriți, Beceni commune. Housed in a former school and kindergarten building, the center is dedicated to petroleum history, geology, and local heritage within the UNESCO Buzău Land International Geopark. The facility features the PetroQuest educational trail, which includes interactive exhibits, a relocated drill bit, and a lithotheque to showcase the region's geological diversity.
