Educational and philosophical initiatives launched in Italy

Various educational and philosophical programs are being introduced across Italy to foster interdisciplinary dialogue. In Varese, the University of Insubria and the Galileo Ferraris Scientific High School have announced the 18th edition of the ‘Giovani Pensatori’ (Young Thinkers) project for the 2026-2027 academic year. Centered on the theme ‘Images of Knowledge between Science and Philosophy,’ the initiative aims to bridge the gap between humanities and sciences through lectures, seminars, and workshops involving multiple university departments.

In Battipaglia, the ‘IDEE. Festival di Filosofia – VirtuReale’ commenced with a high turnout at the Enzo Ferrari Institute. The festival’s opening session focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, the sacred, and identity. Father Paolo Benanti, a theologian and professor, addressed the audience regarding the importance of collective responsibility in technological development, stating that artificial intelligence is something to be built together based on deep-seated values rather than an inevitable destiny.
