Educational and social initiatives launched in Peru and Spain
The Energy for Me educational program, presented by GAIA Energy4Me director Verónica Torres at PERÚ ENERGÍA Norte 2026, aims to connect younger generations with the oil, natural gas, and energy industries. The initiative seeks to address knowledge gaps in local communities regarding industrial activities and their social and environmental commitments through school workshops, interactive experiments, and collaboration with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and universities.
Separately, the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas will participate in the eleventh ‘Foro Futuro de las Tecnologías Sociales’ in Spain from October 19 to 24. Focused on the theme ‘Migration with Opportunities,’ the international forum brings together academia, public institutions, and social organizations to discuss migration through lenses such as technology, health, and economy. The event includes collaborations with several Spanish universities and will feature student initiatives selected by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
