Educational authorities launch new teacher training programs

Educational authorities in Cantabria and Chile have announced new training initiatives for teaching professionals.

In Cantabria, the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Universities has launched a call for vocational training internships. Running from November 2, 2026, to July 30, 2027, these placements aim to update the scientific and technical knowledge of instructors. The program includes internships in companies, institutions, and excellence centers to strengthen the link between educational centers and the productive environment. The initiative features three modalities, including placements in local companies and those proposed by the instructors themselves.

In Chile, the Ministry of Education has opened registrations for a free course focused on the effective use of school textbooks for grades 1 through 4. Aimed at teachers and school administrators, the 20-hour asynchronous course focuses on essential practices for reading, writing, and oral communication. Applications for this training program are open until October 9, 2026, with the course scheduled to begin on October 15.
