Educational awards launched to recognize transformative school projects

Various organizations have launched calls for entries to recognize transformative educational initiatives.

The Red Internacional de Educación (RIE) has opened its 2026-2027 call for Transformative Educational Projects. This international recognition is aimed at educational institutions, universities, NGOs, and other legally constituted organizations in Spain or Hispanic America with at least two years of experience. The program seeks to highlight initiatives in areas such as educational innovation, inclusion, sustainability, and community participation. Fifteen initiatives will be selected for recognition.

In Spain, CCOO Enseñanza Castilla-La Mancha has announced the second edition of its ‘Escuela que transforma’ (School that Transforms) awards. This initiative aims to support and provide visibility to the work of educational centers, teaching teams, and students. Eligible projects can focus on themes including gender equality, LGTBI+ rights, inclusion of vulnerable students, environmental sustainability, and democratic participation. The awards are open to public and subsidized schools, individual teachers, and student groups.
