Educational boards announce Class 11 admission schedules

Educational boards in Bangladesh and Pakistan have announced updated schedules for Class 11 admissions for the upcoming academic sessions.

In Bangladesh, the Dhaka Education Board has proposed an accelerated timeline. Online applications for Class 11 are scheduled to run from 2 September to 10 September, with classes expected to begin on 23 September. Admissions will be determined by Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examination results rather than entrance tests. Students will apply online, selecting between five and ten institutions, with placement based on marks, preferences, and quotas. The process is managed centrally with technical support from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.

In Punjab, Pakistan, the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons has launched the admission and registration process for the 2026-28 academic session. Regular students have until 5 October 2026 to submit forms without a late fee. A second registration window will run from 6 October to 20 October 2026, subject to a late fee of Rs 600 per student. The process requires online data entry and electronic fee submission, followed by the physical submission of documentation to the respective board offices.
