Educational congresses announced in Palma and Santo Domingo

Two distinct educational events have been announced for November 2026. In Palma, Spain, approximately 300 teachers from the Balearic Islands will attend the Congress for the Improvement of Reading Competence on November 13 and 14. The event, held at the Palacio de Congresos de Palma, will feature specialists such as Héctor Ruiz Martín and Neus Sanmartí. The program includes workshops on reading difficulties, text comprehension, and phonological awareness, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.

In Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Banco Popular Dominicano and Acción Empresarial por la Educación (EDUCA) have announced the 30th edition of the APRENDO International Education Congress. Scheduled for November 20 and 21, the event aims to train over 5,000 teachers and educational leaders under the theme “Creating bridges to learn.” The congress focuses on strengthening connections between schools, families, and communities to address contemporary educational challenges.
