Educational developments in Chiaravalle and Gombito-Montodine
In Italy, new educational developments are taking place in both the Marche and Lombardy regions. The Chiaravalle Montessori Foundation has announced a strategic shift to move beyond being a site of memory, aiming instead to become a center for scientific research, cultural responsibility, and teacher training. President Rita Scocchera stated the goal is to integrate Montessori thought into contemporary issues such as peace and the environment while establishing a high-quality training school for educators.
In the municipalities of Gombito and Montodine, the provincial council has approved a resolution to expand educational services provided by the Enrico Fermi Comprehensive Institute. Starting in the 2027/2028 school year, the service will cover ages 0 to 14. The plan involves replacing the state nursery school in Gombito with a new nursery, and replacing the private nursery school in Montodine with a state nursery school. Local mayors noted that the plan provides a continuous educational path from infancy through middle school within a limited geographic area.
