Educational developments noted in Côte d’Ivoire and Gabon
In Côte d’Ivoire, Dr. Koffi Konan Emmanuel, a civil servant and scholar, has commended President Alassane Ouattara for modernizing higher education. During a visit to Alassane Ouattara University in Bouaké, Dr. Emmanuel observed significant infrastructural improvements, including air-conditioned lecture halls, research spaces with Wi-Fi, digital libraries, and international cooperation hubs involving Japanese and French partnerships.
In Gabon, the first graduating class of the École provinciale de formation d’action sanitaire et sociale (EPFASS) in Makokou received diplomas for nursing assistants and specialized educators. The ceremony, held in the Ogooué-Ivindo province, was attended by local authorities and representatives of Senate President Huguette Yvonne Nyana Ekoume.
