Educational districts in Dominican Republic hold student and teacher competitions

Educational districts in the Dominican Republic recently hosted competitions to promote student talent and recognize teaching excellence.

In Nagua, Educational District 14-01 held the 2026 School Choir Festival at the Nagua City Hall. Students from various educational centers performed collective musical interpretations to foster creativity, discipline, and teamwork. Selected choirs will move forward to represent the district in the regional stage of the festival.

In Sabaneta, Educational District 09-03 conducted the ‘Good Practice Teacher’ contest within the Physical Education department. The competition aimed to highlight effective teaching experiences across initial, primary, and secondary levels. Three teachers—Yulissa Estévez, Albert Solino, and Hernán Rosario—were selected to represent the district in the upcoming regional qualifiers.
