Educational facilities in Nové Strašecí and Komárno undergo modernization

Educational facilities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia have undergone significant modernizations. In Nové Strašecí, the Secondary Vocational School (SOUN) opened a new CNC center and welding school. The project, costing nearly 40 million CZK, was funded through European funds from the Integrated Regional Operational Program (IROP), regional co-financing, and investment funds. The renovation includes a large workshop with 12 welding stations, 2 CNC workstations, and a theoretical classroom, providing a fully barrier-free environment for up to 42 students.

In Komárno, Slovakia, a special school on Košická Street underwent renovations valued at approximately 20,000 EUR. Although the city of Komárno is not the school's founder, the municipality funded repairs to the facade, roof waterproofing, and window replacements. The modernization also included the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting with motion sensors to improve the learning environment for the school's 80 to 90 students, who include children with mental disabilities and autism.
