Educational foundations highlight community-driven learning models in Spain and Chile

Educational foundations in Spain and Chile are highlighting successful pedagogical models that emphasize community involvement and inclusion.

In Spain, the Botín Foundation, supported by the Edelvives Foundation, launched the ‘La Educación que queremos’ cycle. The program showcased three successful school experiences: Centro La Ribera in Navarra, which focuses on reintegrating adolescents facing educational difficulties; CEIP San Isidoro in León; and CEA Mar Menor in Murcia. These models prioritize building trust, family participation, and adult education to transform learning environments.

In Chile, Fundación Arcor Chile announced the five recognized pedagogical practices for the 2026 edition of the ‘Del Aula a la Comunidad’ program. Selected from over 150 teams, these initiatives from nurseries and kindergartens across the Metropolitan, Tarapacá, and Santiago regions focus on territorial identity, child participation, and community engagement. Each selected team will receive 1,000,000 CLP and be featured in a documentary web series.
