Educational grant updates announced in Spain and Mexico

Educational authorities in Spain and Mexico have announced updates regarding scholarship and grant processes for the 2026-2027 academic cycle.

In Spain, the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports has moved into the resolution phase for the MEC scholarships. Following the close of the application period, the Ministry is processing requests based on academic and economic criteria. A provisional resolution will be published, allowing applicants a ten-day window to submit allegations or correct errors before a final decision is made.

In Michoacán, Mexico, the Secretariat of Education (SEE) has launched a call for 'Beca Comisión' for basic education teachers. The program, which provides full-pay licenses for postgraduate studies, aims to award up to 105 supports, consisting of 80 federal and 25 state-funded grants. Interested teachers must register via the Usicamm electronic platform between August 25 and August 31, with document verification following in early September.
