Educational infrastructure crisis reported in Dosquebradas and Alto Puno

Technical teams in Dosquebradas are conducting inspections of educational infrastructure to determine which buildings require intervention or reconstruction. To date, seven institutions have been visited. Three sites—Popular Diocesano, Fabio Vásquez Botero, and Bernardo López Pérez—have been declared a total loss and cannot be used for educational services, necessitating complete reconstruction.

In Alto Puno, the San Salvador Secondary School faces significant operational challenges despite moving to new infrastructure two months ago. The school lacks essential services, including electricity and sewage, which has prevented the installation of assigned equipment. Additionally, the institution reports shortages in security personnel, maintenance staff, and sub-directors, limiting the development of the educational community.
