Educational infrastructure projects launched in Dominican Republic and Mexico

In the Dominican Republic, former Major League Baseball pitcher Pedro Martínez inaugurated the Pedro Martínez Educational and Sports Complex in Manoguayabo, Santo Domingo Oeste. The facility, which Martínez credited to the support of President Luis Abinader, serves over 1,700 students. The complex includes a basic school, a sports polytechnic with 55 classrooms, technical training workshops, a baseball stadium, an athletics track, two covered courts, a gymnasium, and a police station.

In Mexico, authorities announced an investment of over 3 billion pesos to expand high school infrastructure in the State of Mexico. During the third government report of Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Secretary of Public Education Mario Delgado Carrillo stated that ten new technological high schools will open in the Eastern Zone between 2025 and 2026. This initiative aims to create 10,200 new spots for upper secondary education as part of an integral plan to increase coverage in the heavily populated region.
