Educational initiatives aim to bridge the gap between training and employment

Educational and private sector organizations are launching initiatives to bridge the gap between academic training and the labor market.

In Spain, ISEN has introduced ‘ISEN Emplea’, a new service line designed to connect formal education with professional opportunities in both public and private sectors. The project focuses on practical application, offering specialized training, civil service exam preparation, and employability programs. While primarily supporting its own students in regions like Murcia and Cartagena, the service is open to the general public. The initiative allows students in their final years of university to align their academic studies with specific career paths or public sector roles.

In Panama, the Private Sector Council for Educational Assistance (CoSPAE) is promoting training experiences that integrate students into real work environments. Through programs such as ‘Learning for Life’, CoSPAE emphasizes that technical knowledge must be paired with soft skills like communication, teamwork, and adaptability. By collaborating with companies, particularly in the hospitality sector, the initiative aims to transform training into a direct gateway to professional development and national growth.
