Educational initiatives expand in San Juan and Oaxaca

In San Juan, Argentina, the Ministry of Education is implementing the “Comprendo y Aprendo” provincial literacy plan. By 2026, the initiative aims to reach 100% of schools, benefiting over 100,000 students. To date, 50,000 textbooks have been distributed to primary school students in grades 1 through 3. The program also extends to early childhood education, reaching 270 institutions and 20,000 children in 4 and 5-year-old classrooms. Additionally, the “Maestro de América” program has distributed 30,000 computers to students and teachers, while the “Modo Matemática” plan seeks to support 88,000 students in mathematics education.

In Oaxaca, Mexico, a summer program in El Espinal and San Francisco Ixhuatán provided more than 100 children with hands-on experience in robotics, innovation, and environmental care. Participants spent two weeks designing, assembling, and programming prototypes, learning skills in mechanics, electronics, and programming alongside soft skills such as teamwork, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
