Educational initiatives in Brazil focus on student leadership and skill development
Students at the Centro Educacional de Atendimento ao Contraturno (CEAC) in Balneário Camboriú participated in a simulated democratic process to elect class leaders. As part of an informatics workshop, students developed proposals, created campaign videos, and used a digital voting system and booth they helped construct. The activity aimed to teach the mechanics of elections and enhance technological skills.
Separately, the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) has launched an extension project titled ‘Simulação de Processos com Alunos do Ensino Médio’. Led by the Department of Production Engineering, the initiative offers high school students workshops on personal organization, productivity, and communication skills. Interested schools must apply by October 13 to participate in these practical, simulation-based learning activities.
