Educational initiatives launched for students and alumni in UAE and UK

UniHawk has launched ‘A World Academy’, a UK-based initiative offering winter residential programs for high school students aged 12 to 18. Scheduled for the 2026/27 winter vacation, the programs will be hosted at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, with a corresponding program in Dubai. Students will reside in university accommodation and engage in academic teaching and practical projects led by professionals in fields such as artificial intelligence, healthcare, computer science, engineering, and entrepreneurship.

Separately, the British Embassy in Abu Dhabi has opened applications for the Study UK Alumni Awards 2027. Organized by the British Council, these awards celebrate UK alumni living in the UAE who demonstrate leadership and innovation. The awards feature four categories: Business and Innovation, Culture, Creativity and Sport, Science and Sustainability, and a fourth category focused on community impact. The program aims to foster networking and professional growth among the UAE’s UK-educated population.
