Educational initiatives launched in Guadalajara, Spain and Mexico

In Guadalajara, Spain, the Delegation of Education, Culture, and Sports has launched thirteen educational initiatives under the slogan ‘Hacemos escuela de la vida’. Key projects include ‘Sierra Viva’, a school volunteer program focused on reforesting the Sierra Norte region following summer wildfires, and ‘Ubicación Joven’, which provides student-led information points on health and equality. The program also features ‘Guardianes del Juego’, an intergenerational initiative to recover traditional provincial games, and ‘GuadaJaque’, a digital chess tournament for students.

In Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, the University of Guadalajara (UdeG) is hosting the II International Forum of Inclusion, Interculturality, and Educational Equity on October 8 and 9. The forum aims to bridge the gap between academic research and teaching practice. Featuring representatives from over seven countries and more than ten national and international institutions, the event focuses on creating equitable educational systems and addressing the challenges faced by indigenous and mestizo teacher trainees.
