Educational initiatives launched in Sicily and Marche regions
The Salvatore Quasimodo State Comprehensive Institute in Gela, Sicily, has officially inaugurated its ‘Immersive Learning Lab’. Funded by a €55,000 regional program from the Sicilian Region, the high-tech facility utilizes the Sensei system, featuring four interactive laser videoprojectors and a multimedia media server. The laboratory is designed for 360-degree immersive learning, allowing students to explore educational content through interactive surfaces and 3D models.
In the Marche region, the Carlo Urbani Higher Secondary School has selected nine high-achieving students for the ‘Memory Journeys’ initiative. Based on strict merit criteria including civic education and history grades, the students from Porto Sant’Elpidio, Sant’Elpidio a Mare, and Montegiorgio participated in a trip funded by ministerial resources. The program involved collaboration with several other secondary schools in the Fermo area to promote cultural and civic growth.
