Latin American initiatives promote financial literacy for youth

Various educational initiatives are being launched across Latin America to improve financial literacy among youth and promote economic inclusion.

In Argentina, the “Finanzas en Modo On” program aims to provide young adults with tools for personal financial organization. In Santa Fe, the Universidad Católica de Santa Fe (UCSF) introduced a program focused on credit management and debt prevention to combat high delinquency rates among young people. Additionally, the firm FYNX is offering free training in Reconquista to teach the differences between saving and investing while helping to prevent scams.

In the Dominican Republic, CoopBueno held a seminar for university students at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, covering topics such as budgeting, emergency funds, and entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, students at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua in Mexico have launched the Divulgación Económica para la Inclusión Social (DEIS) project, which aims to make complex economic data regarding inequality and employment more accessible to marginalized groups, including migrants and workers.
