Educational inspections yield positive results for Aberlady and Erskine facilities

Aberlady Primary School and its associated nursery received ‘good’ ratings across multiple quality indicators. Inspectors highlighted the school’s “caring, nurturing, and respectful” environment, noting that children demonstrate positive attitudes toward learning. While the school was praised for its effective use of data to raise attainment, inspectors recommended improvements in the consistency of teaching, assessment, and literacy, specifically writing.

In Erskine, Carli’s Kindergarten Ltd was rated ‘good’ for wellbeing, inclusion, and equality. The inspection noted that children are enthusiastic learners who benefit from the staff’s strong family values and use of the local community, such as exploring local woodlands. The nursery received a ‘satisfactory’ rating for its curriculum and learning, teaching, and assessment. The facility is privately owned and operates in partnership with Renfrewshire Council.
