Educational institutions expand digital and language training
Educational institutions are expanding their course offerings to meet the rising demands of digital and structural economic changes. There is a growing emphasis on combining language acquisition with cognitive training to improve mental agility and professional adaptability.
In Germany, providers such as the Volkshochschule Rheinfelden and various Chambers of Industry and Commerce are implementing language courses and online training to bolster workers' executive functions and working memory. Similarly, the Volkshochschule Minden-Bad Oeynhausen has significantly increased its IT course offerings, including specialized workshops on artificial intelligence scheduled for late 2026 and early 2027. New language programs in Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, and Persian are also being introduced.
In Austria, the FUN Bildungszentrum Wien offers structured German language training specifically designed for the workplace. These programs are eligible for various subsidies through labor market services and employee funding funds. Additionally, specialized academies like FiGD Akademie Berlin are providing professional training in fields such as graphic design to address technological requirements in the workforce.
