Educational institutions in Brazil announce upcoming academic events

Educational institutions in Brazil are hosting upcoming events focused on academic exploration and modern teaching methodologies.

Afya in Cruzeiro do Sul will hold an Open Day on October 8. The event is designed for prospective students and families to explore health science programs, including Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Pharmacy, Nutrition, and Biomedicine. The institution will showcase its simulation laboratories equipped with high-fidelity patient simulators, interactive screens, and the Canvas learning platform. The program emphasizes active learning methodologies such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), flipped classrooms, gamification, and station rotation.

Additionally, the Faculdade de Americana (FAM) will host its 23rd Educators Meeting on October 16. The event, titled ‘Learning Communities – Approaching the individual, the collective and the synthetic’, will feature guest speaker Carla Arena. The discussion will focus on how individual experiences, collective knowledge construction, and new technologies, specifically artificial intelligence, can complement the teaching and learning process.
