Educational institutions in Colombia and Peru receive technological equipment

Educational institutions in Colombia and Peru are receiving significant technological upgrades to bridge digital divides. In Ipiales, Colombia, the Municipal Secretary of Education delivered 218 technological devices to various local schools. Education Secretary Luis David Calderón stated that the initiative aims to reduce technological gaps by integrating modern tools into pedagogical strategies rather than just distributing physical hardware.

In Peru, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) has transferred 22,500 tablets and 60 computers to the Ministry of Education. These devices, originally acquired for the 2025 National Censuses, are being repurposed for the public school system to support institutions in remote areas. This follows previous distributions in regions such as La Libertad and Cajamarca, aiming to improve access in a country where internet connectivity remains uneven across households.
