Educational institutions in India host drug awareness and healthy lifestyle campaigns

Educational institutions in India have organized programs under the 'Drug-Free India Campaign' to promote healthy lifestyles and combat substance abuse among youth.

At GB College in Bhusawar, the National Service Scheme (NSS) conducted an awareness session focusing on the physical and mental health impacts of addiction. Organizers also highlighted the growing concern regarding excessive mobile and gadget use, noting its negative effects on concentration, sleep, and social behavior. Students were encouraged to engage in sports and creative activities instead of social media and online gaming.

Similarly, Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) held a 'Drug-Free Youth for Developed India' campaign involving approximately 285 NSS volunteers. The event combined lectures on the importance of traditional sports in reducing mental stress with physical competitions, including Kho-Kho and tug-of-war. The initiative aimed to foster discipline and teamwork while emphasizing that a healthy, drug-free youth population is essential for nation-building.
