Educational institutions in Mato Grosso receive multiple innovation awards

Senai Mato Grosso (Senai MT) secured 20 awards during the XVIII State Exhibition of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MECTI 2026) and the High Tech Festival in Cuiabá. The institution earned first-place finishes in the Engineering, Science, and Creative Economy categories. Additionally, Senai MT students won the High Tech Festival’s Robotics Arena, receiving a R$ 15,000 prize, and secured eight of the 20 Junior Scientific Initiation scholarships provided by Fapemat.

Separately, the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Mato Grosso (IFMT) has become a national finalist in the 2026 IEL Prize. Two projects developed by IFMT educators won at the state level in the Internship category. The project ‘PROEXT-PG/IFMT como instrumento para uma educação inovadora no ensino técnico’ advanced to the national final in the Innovative Education – Technical Teaching category, placing among the top three projects in Brazil from over 1,000 entries. The final national rankings are scheduled to be announced in Curitiba on December 2.
