Educational institutions undergo renovations and expansions

Several educational institutions in Hungary and Romania are undergoing significant expansions and renovations to accommodate growing student populations.

In Biharpüspöki, the Szacsvay Imre Általános Iskola is starting the new school year with 768 students, an increase of twenty compared to the previous year. The school is undergoing year-long energy efficiency renovations, including the replacement of windows and electrical systems, as well as the installation of underfloor heating. These works are expected to impact the daily schedules of students and staff.

In Pannonhalma, the Szent Benedek Általános Iskola has completed a major expansion and renovation project funded by the TOP PLUSZ program, with support from the European Union and the Hungarian Government. The project, totaling over 509 million HUF, was necessitated by the school's enrollment doubling from 160 to over 300 students over the last decade. The upgrades include new classrooms, group rooms, a conference room, doubled dining capacity, and a solar energy system, allowing the facility to eventually accommodate up to 400 children.
