Educational opportunities announced in Bahia, Brazil

The Instituto Federal Baiano (IFBAIANO) has opened applications for its 2025 entrance exam, offering over 800 vacancies across more than 20 courses. The academic programs are categorized into bachelor's degrees, such as Agronomic and Food Engineering; teaching degrees, including Computer Science, Biology, and Chemistry; and technology degrees, such as Agroecology, Gastronomy, and Information Technology Management. Candidates may use the National High School Exam (ENEM) for admission. The institution also provides technical courses and implements quota systems for Black, mixed-race, and Indigenous students.

Separately, the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) is nearing the deadline for its public civil service exam (No. 007/2026). Applications for technical-administrative positions at both middle and higher education levels close on October 29. Vacancies are available in Salvador and Vitória da Conquista for roles including administrators, laboratory technicians, nurses, doctors, engineers, and musicians. Salaries for higher-level positions reach up to R$ 5,215.39, supplemented by various benefits such as food and health allowances. Exams are scheduled for December 20, 2026.
