Educational programs in Chile recognize student achievements

The Universidad de La Frontera (UFRO) concluded the CristalEscolar Araucanía 2026 initiative, which promotes crystallography through practical experimentation. The program involved 30 educational establishments across the Temuco, Angol, and Pucón campuses. During the EXPOCRISTALES fair and closing ceremony, student projects were exhibited and recognized. Notably, 12 teams from the region represented La Araucanía at the National CristalEscolar Fair at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, where the region secured two of the six national distinctions.

Separately, the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) held a graduation ceremony for 77 students from 17 schools in the Los Ríos region as part of the UNESCO UACh Propaedeutic Program. Participants attended activities over 16 Saturdays to prepare for higher education. The event included an educational fair showcasing 66 academic options for the 2027 admission process.
