Educational programs integrate nature and science into school curricula
Various educational institutions are implementing specialized programs to connect students with the natural environment through science, art, and field exploration.
In Saint-Nabord, France, students at the Breuchottes school are participating in the ‘À l’école de la nature’ project. In partnership with the Maison de la Nature des Vosges Saônoises, the program includes ten half-day sessions during the 2026-2027 school year. Students will explore local forests, meadows, ponds, and peatlands to observe biodiversity and ecosystems.
In the Minganie region, the Association forestière Côte-Nord is conducting a school tour from September 14 to 24. The initiative provides workshops for primary and secondary students covering topics such as forest ecosystems, territory management, wood materials, and the impact of climate change on forests.
Additionally, students at Lycée Maryse Bastié completed an interdisciplinary project called ‘La vie des murs’ during November and December. This program integrated scientific experimentation with photography and visual arts, allowing students to observe their environment and document findings through various artistic mediums.
