Educational staffing updates in Cyprus and Greece

The Education Service Commission in Cyprus has announced emergency transfers for secondary general education teachers, effective October 19, 2026. These transfers involve various subjects, including Mathematics, Physics, Biology, English, and Design and Technology, with teachers being reassigned to coordinating schools across the Nicosia, Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos, and Famagusta districts.

In Greece, the Municipality of Saronikos has announced new job openings for the 2026-2027 school year to support a preschool education program. The municipality is seeking candidates with university or secondary education for six positions, including pediatricians, psychologists, theater professionals, painters, and dance instructors. Contracts will run until July 31, 2027, with maximum compensation reaching approximately 10,512 euros.
