Abobo youth program launches professional activities for 3,704 beneficiaries
In Abobo, Ivory Coast, 3,704 young people have begun professional activities through the ‘Carrefour des Opportunités professionnelles’ program. The initiative, presided over by Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Téné Birahima Ouattara, aims to transition youth from job seekers to economic actors.
The program has mobilized over 1.2 billion FCFA to support these beneficiaries. This includes approximately 500 young people engaged in high-intensity labor works (TIMO) who will receive equipment and a minimum wage for six months before accessing funding for income-generating activities. Additionally, nearly 2,000 participants have received driver's licenses to improve their mobility and access to various employment sectors.
