Educational training initiatives promote inclusive learning in Argentina and Spain

Educational institutions in Argentina and Spain are implementing training programs to enhance inclusive teaching practices.

In Córdoba, Argentina, the municipal education system is training over 1,400 educators, including directors, teachers, and specialists from initial and primary levels. The initiatives, led by the Secretariat of Education, focus on inclusive education and neuropedagogy. These programs aim to provide practical tools for addressing neurodiversity and supporting students with disabilities through cognitive and emotional learning strategies.

In Spain, the Spanish Confederation of Persons with Physical and Organic Disabilities (COCEMFE) has trained 205 professionals from 76 educational centers in Universal Design for Learning (UDL). This approach focuses on planning instruction that accounts for student diversity from the outset. The training includes designing accessible materials, inclusive evaluation strategies, and flexible learning environments, with resources being developed for pilot classrooms to facilitate broader implementation.
