Educational updates in Chișinău and Bucharest regarding school facilities

In Chișinău, parents have until mid-September to request extended-day school programs for their children. Educational authorities announced that individual institutions will determine the number of groups and the duration of these programs—either three or six hours—based on student demand and teacher availability. Last year, the municipality funded 1,071 extended-day groups serving over 31,000 students.

In Bucharest, parents of students at the Gheorghe Șincai College are protesting the relocation of classes to modular containers. While the move is part of a long-delayed rehabilitation project for the school's historic buildings, parents are demanding proof of safety. They are requesting official sanitary and fire safety authorizations for the modular structures before the relocation proceeds, following a decision by the Sector 4 City Hall to vacate the school premises.
