EducationUSA Fair 2026 to bring U.S. universities to Yucatán

More than 25 accredited U.S. higher education institutions will gather in Mérida, Yucatán, for the EducationUSA Fair 2026. The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center.

Attendees, including students, educators, and families, can meet directly with university representatives to discuss undergraduate and graduate programs, admission requirements, campus life, and financial aid or scholarship opportunities. The fair also provides information on English language certification through entities such as Duolingo, MET, and TOEFL.

The initiative is supported by Yucatán’s Ministry of Sciences, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (Secihti) to promote international academic mobility. Participating institutions include Arizona State University, Iowa State University, Northeastern University, the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor, the University of Houston, and the University of Wisconsin–Stout. This event marks the start of an international tour that will later visit Guadalajara, Monterrey, Mexico City, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. Entrance is free, though prior online registration is required.
