EducationWorld releases 20th annual India School Rankings 2026-27

EducationWorld, in association with AZ Research Partners Pvt. Ltd., has released the 20th annual EducationWorld India School Rankings (EWISR) for 2026-27. The survey is considered the world’s largest school rankings study, evaluating approximately 4,500 schools across 34 cities and 22 Indian states based on 14 to 15 parameters of educational excellence.

The rankings utilize data from a nationwide field survey of 18,000 respondents, including educators, faculty, counsellors, and parents. The assessment covers various categories such as co-ed, boarding, international, and government schools, as well as specialized categories like philanthropic and special needs institutions.

A new ‘Ivy League’ category was introduced to recognize top-performing schools that consistently excel in areas like teacher competence, academic reputation, and co-curricular activities. While these schools share a top rank, they are distinguished by a star rating from one to five. Notable performers in the Odisha region include SAI International School, which received a three-star rating in the Ivy League Day cum-Boarding category, and the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences, which ranked fifth nationally in the Philanthropic Schools category.
