Educator Aida Amelia Castillo de la Rosa de Ventura dies in Puerto Plata

Educator Aida Amelia Castillo de la Rosa de Ventura has passed away at the age of 51 in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. At the time of her death, she served as the director of the Centro de Atención Integral a la Primera Infancia (CAIPI) in the Conani sector.

Castillo de la Rosa de Ventura had been admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU) due to a serious medical condition. She is the wife of Jorge Luis Ventura Bonilla, the Administrative Director of the Instituto Dominicano de Aviación Civil (IDAC), and the mother of Zahira Ventura Castillo, the Human Resources Director for the Municipal City Hall of San Felipe de Puerto Plata.

Colleagues described her as a professional, cheerful, and affable individual. Her funeral services are being held at the Funeraria Puerto Plata, with the burial scheduled for Friday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cementerio Parque Jardín in the community of Muñóz.
