Educator Celina Jiménez de Despujols celebrates 100 years

Celina Jiménez de Despujols, a longtime educator in Barquisimeto, has reached the age of 100. Known for her decades of teaching, she is recognized for emphasizing ethics and moral courage in her students.

Jiménez de Despujols is noted for her distinctive personality, including her choice to dye her hair blue. She previously gained attention at age 96 when she declined a decoration from the Universidad Politécnica Territorial de Lara, Andrés Eloy Blanco (Uptaeb), stating that reaching a certain age should not be considered a heroic feat.
