Educator Galvin Lee named 2026 JCI TOYM honouree

Galvin Lee Kuan Sian, a 25-year-old educator from Sarawak, has been named a 2026 JCI Ten Outstanding Young Malaysians (TOYM) honouree. He received the recognition in the Academic Leadership and/or Accomplishment category during a ceremony held on September 19 in Johor Bahru.

Lee, a lecturer and programme coordinator in business education at a private higher education institution, is also a PhD candidate and marketing researcher at the Asia-Europe Institute of Universiti Malaya. His work focuses on integrating technology and experiential learning into business and management education.

Key initiatives include the ‘Global Voices: AI Persona Lab’, an AI-supported environment where students interact with simulated consumer personas to study consumer behaviour. His teaching methods also incorporate gamification, microlearning, and virtual business simulations to help students apply theoretical concepts to real-world decision-making and problem-solving. His projects have previously earned Gold Awards at platforms such as the International University Carnival on E-Learning (IUCEL).
