Educators and public figures pass away in Faxinal and Jandaia do Sul

The communities of Faxinal and Jandaia do Sul are mourning the loss of prominent educators.

In Faxinal, retired teacher Erneti de Castro Vicente passed away following a battle with a serious illness. Having dedicated over 30 years to the municipal school system, she was the subject of a significant local solidarity campaign to support her medical needs.

In Jandaia do Sul, the municipal government declared three days of official mourning following the death of Milton Lopes at age 80. Lopes was a mathematics teacher for 48 years, a former Director of Municipal Education, and a three-term city councilman. He was also a local historian who authored "Memórias de Jandaia do Sul."
