Eduzměna expands support to eight Czech regions, investing over 10 million CZK in schools

The Eduzměna foundation has selected eight new regions—Hřebečsko (Svitavsko, Moravskotřebovsko, Jevíčsko), Voticko, Jablunkovsko, Nepomucko, Šlapanicsko, Tábor, Tišnovsko and Vlašimsko—to receive intensive school‑development assistance starting in September 2027. More than 10 million Czech crowns will be allocated, with new Education Support Centres planned for the first two regions and methodological support provided elsewhere.

The programme builds on a successful pilot in Kutnohorsko (2020‑2025) that created a functional model of regional educational support. Eduzměna already co‑founded centres in Šumpersko and Zábřežsku in 2025 and aims to have at least one centre operating in every Czech region by 2028. The selection process, announced in spring 2026, attracted 20 applicants, primarily local action groups capable of co‑financing the centres.

“Eduzměna has a proven model and we want to share it with regions that are interested,” said Zdeněk Slejška, director of the foundation. Viktor Liška, mayor of Ratměřice in Voticko, welcomed the decision, emphasizing the importance of quality education for regional stability.
