Edvin Austbø transfers from Viking to West Ham United

Edvin Austbø is set to transfer from Viking FK to West Ham United. The 21-year-old winger, who was instrumental in securing Viking’s place in the Champions League with a goal against Dinamo Zagreb, is traveling to London for a medical examination.

The transfer is expected to be a record-breaking deal for Viking, with a guaranteed sum of 140 million NOK and a total package reaching approximately 180 million NOK. Austbø expressed that while leaving the club is difficult, the opportunity to join West Ham was an immediate priority.

Viking is preparing for Champions League competition against teams such as Bayern Munich and Atlético Madrid, though they will likely do so without the winger.
