Intense, sequential flashes of light were captured on a public monitoring camera in the Mojave Desert near Edwards Air Force Base. The footage, recorded by the ALERTCalifornia wildfire observation network, shows bright bursts of light occurring during daylight hours.

Speculation regarding the cause of the phenomenon has emerged online, with some suggesting the flashes could be related to secret military weapons testing or the movement of classified aircraft. However, no official explanation has been provided by the U.S. Air Force.

A more practical explanation involves the nearby Edwards & Samborne Solar & Energy Storage Project. This massive facility contains approximately 2 million solar panels, and experts suggest the flashes may be caused by sunlight reflecting off the glass surfaces at specific angles, a phenomenon known as a glint.
