Edwin Sifuna leads Linda Mwananchi mobilization tour in Nairobi

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna led the Linda Mwananchi movement on a city-wide mobilization tour through Nairobi on Sunday, October 13. The program began with a church service at All Saints' Cathedral before a procession moved through various markets and neighborhoods, including Marikiti, Gikomba, and Burma Market.

The tour included a procession along Jogoo Road, culminating in a large-scale rally at the Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi East. Sifuna was accompanied by several political figures, including Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Siaya Governor James Orengo, and former nominated senator Millicent Omanga.

The mobilization is viewed as an effort to expand the reach of the Linda Mwananchi movement and demonstrate political support in Nairobi ahead of the 2027 General Election. While some political leaders expressed concerns regarding potential security issues and planned attacks by mobilized groups, others maintained that the movement has the right to hold public meetings to present their policies.
