EFCC arraigns Ski Hi-Entertainment CEO over N16.8 million cheque fraud in Enugu
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Ifeanyichukwu Ogbu, chief executive officer of Ski Hi-Entertainment, before Justice Vincent Ezeugwu of the Enugu State High Court. He faces three counts of issuing dud cheques amounting to about N16.847 million, linked to unpaid hotel bills for members of three Nigerian Premier Football League clubs.
Ogbu pleaded not guilty. EFCC counsel sought a trial date and his remand to the Nigerian Correctional Service. The defence counsel applied for bail, which the court postponed, setting a hearing for July 16 2026. The complaint was filed after Sales/Front Office Manager Oby Onwuakor reported that Ogbu had paid only N1 million of a N17.424 million bill and the remaining cheques were dishonoured for insufficient funds.
